76 Mega fuel tank replacement

Hi everyone. I just purchased a 75/76 28 Mega with a fuel leak that I believe is coming from the port side fuel tank. First problem is that i cant get into the bilge under the tank to remove the fuel. Any thoughts? Also how do I remove the tank to inspect for leaks? Do I have to tear up the floor? Thank You
