I ahve an '81 32' SS but with 380HP 454's. I find that in flat water and 2950 RPM's, I'm moving along at 17.5 knots. This stays pretty constant up until the waves reach about 18 inches or so. Then, she slows about 1.5 knots with a fairly rough ride. At the suggested cruising RPM of 3200, I'm at 20.4 knots. But nowdays, who can afford that!?!?!
