Tollycraft and Trojan called theirs "Tri-Cabins." Uniflite called them "Double Cabins." Others call them "Aft-Cabins." Generally, they are all as noted, v-berth (forward cabin) and aft-cabin. Counting the salon as a "cabin" is a manufacturer's puffing or a broker not familiar with the manufacturer.
By the way, don't confuse them with "mid-cabins" or express cruisers with aft-cabins. Then of course, instead of a cabin you might have a "bunk room" which is generally, wall to wall bunk!
